Question: will star trek ever be real?

When star trek first started a lot of things didn’t exist, like portable communication devices (mobile phones), or doors that open when you approach which are everywhere now. So star trek is pretty good at predicting stuff. I hope it could be real one day because as soon as they need a linguist who specialises in alien languages I am going to be there in a second.
