The greatest discovery I have made is a new role for a protein that protects normal cells for cancer. Other scientists had shown that this protein stops cells from dividing at the wrong times. I found that this protein also protects the DNA in a cell from getting mutated. This is important as mutated cells can lead to cancer development.
