      The most interesting thing that I studied at university was the cell cycle (how cells control when they divide) and that is what I work on now (sort of).

      I find the cell cycle very interesting as its a very complex process involving lots of proteins that work in a very controlled way. Normal cells have many ‘brakes’ that prevent cells from dividing at the wrong time. These ‘brakes’ are broken in some way in cancers and allow cancer cells to grow out of control and form tumours.
