• Question: What actually caused the extinction of the dinosaurs? Was it a meteorite or is that just speculation? Is there any proof?

      Well technically not all dinosaurs are extinct as birds evolved from dinosaurs that could fly, so therefore the dinosaur lineage still exists today.

      A large meteorite fell to earth at the time dinosaurs went extinct and scientists think this collision could have resulted in an extreme heat wave and then a cooling of the earth’s atmosphere that the dinosaurs wouldn’t have survived.
