• Question: How did multi-cellular life originate?

      Single cell organisms started to stick together by releasing glue like proteins. Then cells began to divide at a rate determined by their genes, and controlled the number of cells made, therefore controlling how the mulitcellular organism formed. Over time more specialised cells evolved leading to multicellular organisms made of many different types of cell.
