My favourite scientist? That’s a hard one! I think Louis Pasteur. He was a great man! He worked out that micro-organisms (tiny living things, like bacteria and fungi) could get into food and grow and that’s why food went bad. He invented a way to make milk cleaner so that more people could drink it, which is good because people need to drink milk to get calcium to grow strong healthy bones.

Marie Curie, her work on radioactivity was revoluntionary. Plus she was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only scientist ever to win the Nobel Prize in TWO sciences! She was pretty awesome.
