I want to be useful to the world, and medicines are an important part of helping human life on this world. There are many diseases we’ve not cured, and many more that are coming. Super bugs are a rising threat, because we can’t find ways to kill them. So people like me do research to speed up the finding of cures, and treatments, so fewer people die from and are hurt by these terrible things.

I thought of those people who’ve lost a parent, or loved one to cancer, or whatever disease, or they are threatened themselves.
Then they spend their lives working really hard trying to get rid of this disease.
I thought, “Why don’t I get the upper hand? Why don’t I start finding cures for things before anyone I know is threatened by them? Then I can have more time to solve this problem.” So I went into helping the people who find medicines, and decided to work hard.

I am also really interested in the techniques used: artificial intelligence.
You see, I thought of all the things I could research for my PhD, and I just loved so many of the ideas/research topics; I wanted to study them all, and learn all about them.
Then I thought that my learning could be sped up, and made easier by using artificial intelligence, this way I could, in theory, come to understand a lot more about the world.
I want to continue to develop artificial intelligence in my career; build/program machines that can solve our problems in intelligent ways.
