• Question: what jobs could lead to being a scientist

      You would normally need to be a scientist first to get a job that makes you a scientist… a job in research and development in a company, researcher at a university, or in government would give you the ability to do science.

      Some medical doctor moved into cancer research (and other types of medical research) by doing a PhD. But Gopal is right, normally you train to be a scientist you dont really get that training from any other job!
