      AIDS is something the world could definitely do without. Unfortunately it’s on the increase across the world, but we are working very hard on finding cures! AIDS is caused by HIV which is a virus that infects blood cells called T cells. The HIV virus is very clever, in that it doesn’t kill the people it infects very quickly. It can live inside someones T cells for decades and that means there is a greater chance of being passed on to another person. The good thing is that we now know how to prevent it spreading and people all over the world are being taught how to stop the spread of HIV.
