      Genetics play a role in personal health, but health is really a mixture of the environment and genes. There are genetic risk factors that can increase your chance of developing bad personal health. There are some disease that are completely down to your genetics though, for example if you inherit two bad forms a particular gene you can develop cystic fibrosis which reduces lung function.
