• Question: Is accurate long-range weather forecasting possible?

      That’s very very hard! You need a super computer to come up with predictions for the next day… longer term is much harder to get accurate predictions. For example, wind can only be accurately forecast 3 hours ahead… long-range predictions may be possible when more advanced computing power will be available -e.g., quantum computers.

      I think scientists need to find out more about weather happens so they can use these quantum computers to predict long range weather forecasts.
