• Question: If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?

      people are scared of being wrong and the consequences from being wrong, which could be loss of money, harm to someone or just loss of pride.

      We are typically afraid of the consequences of making mistakes… we are not really afraid of making mistakes because, at the time of making them, we typically think it’s a good thing to do in the first place. Sometimes we know the consequences but preferring to ignore them altogether! When we don’t know whether we are going to make a mistake or not… then we are really afraid of the ‘unknown’… sometimes it’s best to try rather than not because it’s not obvious what is the right thing to do!
