• Question: Do you think that in many years time that computers will be able to function as well as the human brain does now? Also in many year will we humans start using more percentage of our brains?

      It’s possible. That’s what Ray Kurzweil’s trying to do, who’s the head of engineering at Google. He’s trying to build a computer using cell-size nanotechnology with the same morphology as the brain. He thinks we can do it by 2020 but I think that’s a bit optimistic.

      It’s a bit of a myth that human’s only use x% of our brains, in fact we use almost every part of our brain every day. If anything in the future we’ll start using less of our brains because we’ll be outsourcing effort to computers, a bit like now when we don’t have to remember stuff because we can just google it!
