The use of logic and evidence to explain things.

If I want to know about something, how it does that, or why it does that, I need to think about it. This is called forming a hypothesis.
Then I need to test that hypothesis, by doing some maths, simulation , some experiments, making observations or using logic.

The maths and or experiments should tell me if my hypothesis is correct.
If no one can find anything: logic, maths, observation, simulation or experiment to say my hypothesis is wrong, then this hypothesis becomes a theory. Like quantum theory or the theory of evolution.
If people find something scientific that is wrong with it, it is filed under “rubbish”.
