I learnt lots too, I hope the students did as well. I’m currently thinking up some good experiments to spend the money on so I can demonstrate some really fun experiments in my school visits! Becky

DAY 5: Silly hats, unicorns and dancing robots

DAY 1: AI, extreme weather and farting

And so it begins… I’m a Scientist June 2013 has got off to a busy start. Across all zones we’ve had around 30 live chats, a few thousand questions asked outside of the chats, and there are now 3,300 students registered! Today’s highlights in the Cadmium Zone: Artifical intelligence and self-awareness: Will AI become complex enough to become self aware? Why our weather isn’t extreme as in the US: How come there are tons of tornados and hurricanes and earthquakes etc in the USA but in the UK we don’t? And the science of farting: How does gas get into our body and make us fart?
